Today was all about exploring the island of Madeira. We had a private tour guide for the day he took us to the North coast and to the mountains and all over! I loved learning about the island and seeing how beautiful it was.

We started with some pastries from a local bakery for breakfast before the tour.

Then off we go!

The hill on the left is completely covered with banana plants. They grow so many different kinds of produce here!

Camara de Lobos (fishing village)
Homemade Poncha. Orange juice, honey, and rum
You can see all the different plots of plans for produce. Everybody here grows their own to eat themselves or sell to markets.
Technically this is a two way road through a neighborhood in the country side , glad I wasn’t driving this
lol not me ripping out a bird of paradise pose next to a bid of paradise hehe
Riviera Brava
Wild fennel
Lunch in Sao Vicente
Old road they used to take back to Funchal. Nw there is a highway that goes through the mountain but this was a “two way” road all along the edge of the mountain above the sea.
Seixal
We had a pit stop at the natural pools in Seixal!
Porto Moniz
Eucalyptus
Fanal Forest

We went from hot sun and swimming at sea level to cold and foggy at the top of the mountain.

Dinner!
