Today was a long day trip to see the Cu Chi Tunnels from the Vietnam war and the MeKong Delta river.
I didnโt take too many pictures at the tunnels. Itโs mainly dense forest with examples of different raps the VietCong created along with a section of the tunnels you can go through.
Yesterday, I learned a lot at the War Remnants Museum. That information was mainly about Americas involvement in the way. Today, my tour guide shared some insight on the other side of the war. His family is from the south and his parents survived the war. He said the government gears the information about the way to be very anti American. But nobody ever talks about the Vietnamese to Vietnamese conflict. At a high level, this was a civil war in Vietnam. The Americans just happened to join the losing side of the conflict. So all the information is very pro North, pro communism.

After the tunnels, we drove a couple hours to the Mekong Delta. This river starts in China and goes through Malaysia, Thailand, and Lao and ends in Vietnam out to the ocean.

Learned about eh process of how coconuts are harvested and used to create different products like candies, milk, and oil.

Then took a short ride on a row boat down the river with some locals. Finally got my hands on one of these bamboo hats! ๐ had to take a pic!

Made it back the city!! I was starving! So grabbed a Bahn mi for dinner! I think this was the 3rd one Iโve had on this trip and this was definitely the best! So so good, accompanied with some passion fruit juice.
