Shelby's Travels

We did a long hike this morning with the dogs over to the backside of the island to an area called Stanley. Crazy views!

Spent some time out there for lunch and roamed the water front and the market. The weather was so so great! A perfect temperature!

Car ride back home. George LOVES putting his head out the window!

We had a little bit of lounge time before cleaning up and heading back out for dinner.

We took a taxi over to Tai Kwun, which is now an area that houses art shows, restaurants, bars. What makes this super cool is that this area and the buildings were the former site of Victoria Prison, the first prison on Hong Kong Island. There was a great museum in there as well. I think it’s a great idea for the use of the space. More people probably visit it because. There’s so much more than a museum.

Then dinner! This was a 10 course Michelin star omakase dinner. Incredible experience!! We were seated up against the bar so we could watch the dishes being created. It is seriously an art form. Also so many things and flavors I have never tried before! Definitely an experience I won’t forget!

So so so much food. The portions look small but it was so filling! Incredible flavor and experience!

We couldn’t even go out for drinks afterwards. We went back and put on our pajamas and started watching Mulan (my fav😝). Now… laying in bed… it seems George may sleep with me tonight. I didn’t think it would last more than a few minutes but it’s been maybe 30 and he hasn’t budged! 🤞❤️
