UK – Day 8 – Windsor / London

Ah lovely day!! We started by driving south to Windsor to do a tour of the Windsor Castle. We have very limited time in London so unfortunately we didn’t get to do more than tour the castle, but I’m glad we did!

Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied working castle in the world.

The next two photos are St Georges Chapel right across from the palace. This is where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got married, as well as where Queen Elizabeth II is buried. We got to see her stone.

Photos weren’t allowed inside the buildings but it was really spectacular. Crazy how much history (and money 😅) there is in that family.

After the castle tour, we drove on into London! Dropped our bags off at the Airbnb and immediately went for afternoon tea! Finger sandwiches, scones, and desserts!

All that sugar required a long walk afterwards.

I think the neighborhood walks are my favorite. I love seeing the little shops and different buildings.

Spent the first chunk of our walk in SoHo, Carnaby, and Marylebone. Then took the tube to St Paul’s Cathedral.

This is actually where Spider-Man defeated Mysterio (iykyk)! 🕸️🔮

Walked across the bridge!

Then after all that walking…. We settled for a little drink while the sun went down😁

I only have 1.5 days in London… truly such a shame, BUT we are getting blessed with amazing weather – 75 degrees and sunshine!! London is showing me the best sides of itself and it’s so lovely. Who knows, maybe I’ll end up moving here one day 🤷‍♀️
