Another lovely day spent in Thailand! Today we had booked a day tour to take us to a floating market and railway market about 2 hours outside of Bangkok.
First stop was Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. It’s so interesting to see how tightly packed the place and boats are and these people are just sat out on their boats selling all kinds of stuff, mostly food!

Greeted by this little guy when we hopped off the boat! Then walked through Lao Tuk Luck Floating Market.

It’s about time I had a Thai Iced Tea – MY FAV! So cool watching the guy make it like this!

Tons and tons of shopping… so much so my mom bought three pairs of elephant pants 😝

After the floating markets, we got back on the bus and they took us to Maeklong Railway Market. Here, our eyes were set on lunch!

Four times a day, a train comes through the market and all the stalls close up their awnings and move all their goods out of the way for the train to come through. I experienced something similar in Hanoi last year. So funny how it’s such a normal thing for them and such a tourist attraction for people like us !

Durian is a big things here! Our guides keep talking about it – the dragon of all fruits! The fruit you cannot take into your hotel because its smell is strong and gross! I was in a mission to try to at this market. So we got a piece, gloves included lol, and… I’m not a fan 😩 I wanted to like it so bag but just could not get through it.

Then after our ride back to Bangkok from the markets, we cleaned up a little bit and made our way around the corner to do massages and pedicures! Can’t beat the prices here so might as well treat yourself!
