Early morning for us today! We had to check out of our hotel and head to Chiang Rai today so we opted for a 5am tour up the mountain Doi Suthep. Beautiful view from a lookout over the town for sunrise! Followed by touring a couple temples.
The next few pictures are at Wat Phra Lat. This temple looks a little different than the others because it is Myanmar style. This one seemed more secluded, deep within the mountain. It seemed like something out of a movie. So beautiful!
All those pics were the same one. So beautiful!! Then the next few are Wat Umong. this temple is setup in tunnels to promise quiet, secluded meditations. There were a few bat friends chilling in there.
We saw all that and were back at the hotel by 9:30 for breakfast!
After checkout we head to the bus station to go to Chiang Rai. Had my first encounter with a real Thai toilet 🫣
Made it to Chiang Rai! Chill evening tonight before an eventful day tomorrow. We had some relax time at the pool and then grabbed dinner at the Night Bazaar.
Capped the night with a drink on our hotels rooftop bar!
