Thailand – Day 7 – Chiang Rai

Today was our only full day in Chiang Rai. Chiang Rai is a small town further up North only about an hour from the boarder of Myanmar and Laos.

Since the town is pretty small, most do the attractions require a drive. We hire a driver for the day to take us to four locations.

Stop 1: White Temple aka Wat Rong Khun

Wow never seen anything like this one. It felt like it was something you’d see at Disney or something, almost too perfect.

this was a little creepy tho…

Stop 2: Singha Park

Singha is a really popular Thai beer and now they make other food and drink products. They own a bunch of property and grow different kind of produce, including tea. We opted for the option is rent a golf cart and ride throughout the grounds. This included a visit to β€œswan lake”, tea tasting, and a mini zoo. The views were just incredible!

Stop 3: Khun Korn Waterfall

Final Stop: Doi Chaang Coffee Farm and Cafe

Just the drive to get to each stop was through the mountains / country side and was so beautiful!!

The whole day trip lasted about 8 hours. So we were hot and tired by the end of the day. Decided to crash by the pool for a while.

We had a late lunch and weren’t hungry enough for a real dinner so opted for some fun flavored chips πŸ˜‚ always love doing this when traveling!
