Day 3 baby!! Last day in Barcelona already. Today was my food and Gaudi day!
Started the day with a visit to Mercat de la Boqueria. Basically a jumbo wet market with tons of fooooooooddd!!! I always love these markets in Asia, I don’t know why I have been to one in Europe. Add this to the list of Shelby’s favorite things 😁 here’s my many many pictures of all the gorgeous food

The rest of my day was walking many miles to see 3 different Gaudi pieces.
Stop 1 : Casa Batlló : built 1904-1906, I saw the outside of this yesterday) this one kind of gives me Dr Seuss vibes… in a good way

More walking now…

Nice break for a snack! Pan con tomate y croquette de jamón
lol also just want to note I’m on day 325 of Spanish Duolingo… and you best believe I haven’t used a lick of it here😂 but I try to listen to people and see if I can understand them

Stop 2 : Casa Vicens : built 1883-1885, I think if I had to choose, I actually prefer the artistry of this house compared to the last. Although they both have their own unique style. This one is much darker though. I enjoy the natural light of Casa Battlò.

More walking…

Now at Park Guell. This park was designed by Gaudi and commissioned by Eusebi Guell from 1900-1914. Guell is a Catalan industrialist and entrepreneur of the time.

okay the picture below plus the picture of me….. remind anyone of any iconic 2000s Disney channel original movie?! 👀 lol how about this?! Specifically at 2:20 – https://youtu.be/rZpSOSfymV4?feature=shared

Now more walking for food 😁

And finally walk back to the hotel for an early night in as I’ve got a train to catch in the morning!
