Spain – Day 6 – Madrid

Day 6 and my dear friend Kat has finally joined me!! Today was a chill day with a massive flea market, strolling around, and art!

We started with El Rastro , which is an outdoor flea market that went on and on and on, never seen such a large flea market! Fun to just see the things out on display, one item to note is some gas masks and military uniforms?… but otherwise, lots of clothes and furniture and little trinkets.

Stop for a little bit to eat. Opted for a pistachio croissant, cardamom bun, and I got a chai latte.

Next stop is the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum, specializing in Impressionism, cubism, and realism.

Believe it or not… this is a painting not a photo. Crazy!!!

After the museum we took a stroll to see the Prado, which we will spend a few hours at tomorrow and walk around El Retiro Park.

Prado Museum
Olive tree!
Tortilla de potatas for lunch!!
A little more caffeine and a warm spot to sit.
Love to stumble upon another holiday market.

Had to stop for a little siesta this afternoon to make it through till dinner. Which I happened to forget a photo till midway through. But lovely dinner with lovely company!

Looking forward to our last full day in Madrid tomorrow, have some good stuff planned!
