Okay, my favorite day on the trip so far! I am loving Lisbon! It’s so beautiful and unlike any city I’ve ever been to. We just had the best day walking around and eating!

Pasteis de Nata for breakfast! A custard egg tart … I need to find these in nyc asap! stopped at Manteigaria – Fábrica de Pastéis de Nata for these and ate in Principe Real Garden.

The buildings here are so colorful and I’m just blown away by how beautiful (and clean) everything is! Half these pictures are just the street and buildings lol

We wandered for quite a bit to see what we would stumble upon. Got lucky at with some jewelry at a couple stops.

Green Street
Outdoor market at Jardim Sá da Bandeira
A small lunch at Tjme Out Market
Croquettes with a salad. You know… it’s tha point in the trip where we are desperately craving some greens😂
Lisbon City Hall
Praça do Comércio and Arco da Rua Augusta

Now onto Castelo de S. Jorge. We could see this lit up at night all the way from our hotel. It was an incredible lookout point to see 360 views of the city and the water. I took sooo many pics of the views, it just didn’t get old!

We could actually walk on the wall of the castle. Pretty cool!
The color!
Holiday market at Praça Dom Pedro IV
Literally every single sidewalk in this city is made of these tiny pieces of limestone. To think every single on of these were laid by hand and sometimes in patterns ACROSS THE ENTIRE CITY!

Now onto our food tour!!! We had a fantastic guide Bruno. He grew up in Lisbon and gave us so much information on the city and lots of recommendations and tips and tricks.

Stop 1 : Roasted Chorizo and Codfish à Brás

Stop 2 : Grilled Sardine and Arroz de Marisco

Okay honestly… I’ve ever had canned sardines but I was shocked by this, it was actually pretty good! Bruno said these taste totally different than canned sardines and obviously are much bigger.

Stop 3 : Fried Codfish and Bifana Sandwich : thickly sliced pork on bread

Church of Saint Dominic

Stop 4 : A ginjinha : Cherry liqueur

Stop 5 : Pasteis de Nata! And they were warm!!!! To die for!

We loved it so much, as soon as the tour was over, we turned around and went right back inside for another! 😂

One of the best food tours I’ve ever done! Everything was fantastic and we learned a lot from our guide!

Metro station on the way back to the hotel!
